Grass Won’t Grow is Cliff Stevens’ second solo album and the follow up to his self-titled award-winning solo effort ‘Cliff Stevens’ (Feeling the Blues in Europe). Grass Won’t Grow features eleven original compositions by Stevens in the blues-rock genre, ranging from ‘shot whisky’ tunes to upbeat numbers, radio-friendly “songs that would please any fan of the (blues) genre” (Montreal Blues Society). It’s blues, rock, boogie, swing, it’s melodic & mature. It’s Clapton, SRV, Allman Brothers, Johnny Winter… featuring different styles while never straying far from the blues. Grass Won’t Grow is a guitar album, old school blues-rock, but includes some vocal songs you will want to hear over and over again…catchy, well-written tunes.

Blues guitarist Cliff Stevens is an award-winning artist from Montreal, Canada. He has played the blues and toured for several decades throughout Canada, Europe and Morocco. His solo debut on Preservation Blues Review featured two original songs that received critical acclaim.His self-titled album Cliff Stevens received awards & praise – “Top 10 Albums, Top 10 Guitarists, Best Original Song” – Real Blues Magazine. It also spent 18 months on the Top 100 new CD’s charts. Blues Matters Magazine (UK) commented “…fine slide…finely wrought vocal style…quality quality songs.” Cliff Stevens is currently preparing to record his latest album with scheduled release for the fall of 2014 with a subsequent European tour in early 2015.
