BluesGuitaristBlog

Welcome to the BluesGuitaristBlog. The goal of this blog is to promote blues guitarists in general, from the famous to not so famous (like me!). Anything goes – best guitarsĀ for blues, most famous licks from blues guitarists, anecdotes about famous blues artists, I dont care as long as it is interesting and keep me reading.I am a blues guitarist myself have played for many years and have done thousands of gigs and not just the blues either. Just to kick things off, I did some googling the other day and was surprised to find that such legendary blues guitarists as Robert Johnson and others did not necessarily just play the blues. In order to make a living, they also had to play the music of the day which could have been as diverse as rags or even polkas. Kind of dispels the myth of selling your soul at the Crossroads, don’t it?

All that to say, while I am a blues guitarist through and through to my soul – I love all the Kings, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Johnny Winter and a ton of others, I have had to play other styles as well in order to make a living. Kind of made me feel like less of a sellout when I found that out! Hope you contribute to my blog, I am new to this so I’m definitely open to suggestions. Some sites I found very interesting to start follow:
